NXP USA, Inc. seeks Digital Design Engineers to work at its office in Chandler, AZ
Performs semiconductor design engineering assignments including engineering and designing chip layout circuits, circuit checking, documenting specifications, modifying and evaluating semiconductor devices and components. Reviews product requirements and logic diagrams for device definition. Contributes to projects to design, verify, modify, and evaluate semiconductor devices and components. Develops, modifies and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for hardware and other systems. Conducts experimental tests on equipment and evaluates results. Develops specifications for selecting components and equipment to use. Implement new engineering assignments including engineering and designing chip layout circuits, circuit checking, documenting specifications, and modifying and evaluating semiconductor devices and components. Perform redesign of devices, components, or integrated circuitry for hardware and other systems. Review product requirements and logic diagrams for device definition. Ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and stated requirements. Operate computer-assisted engineering tools and configure the same to perform design engineering tasks and implement test programs and procedures. Confer with customers and other departments on design status, processing, testing and technical issues, and failure analysis. Monitor production of products and devices to ensure conformance to design specifications. 4% international travel required.
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering (with related variants such as VLSI or Physics), foreign equivalent, or closely related field and 5 years of experience in job offered or alternate occupation (all levels accepted) such as Design Engineer, Computer Engineer, Software Developer, Intern.
Position requires five (5) years of experience in:
- Digital block design;
- Formal proof verification;
- Digital architecture definition;
- Development of fully automated flows using script Perl, Python, Tcl, makefile, shell scripts; and
- Design and verification engineering management.
