NXP USA, Inc. seeks Research & Development Engineers to work at its office in Chandler, AZ

Job Description:

Designs and carries out applied research and development to discover, create and / or apply new technologies, circuits, architectures, algorithms, processes, materials/tools, and phenomena. Through investigation or experimentation, examines, evaluates, and tests discoveries. Proves, applies and interprets scientific or engineering laws and theories. May identify application of research for processes, technologies, tools or products and develop new solutions for the organization and its customers. May create prototypes to demonstrate results. Presents results of research to appropriate scientific and business audiences, and may participate in commercialization of results.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, foreign equivalent, or closely related field and 2 years of experience in job offered or alternate occupation (all levels accepted) such as Design Engineer, Software Developer, Computer Scientist, Research Engineer, Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Intern.

Required skills:

Position requires two (2) years of experience in:

  • Solid State Semiconductor physics;
  • Object-oriented programming;
  • Semiconductor device simulation and characterization;
  • Computer-Aided Design simulation;
  • Script programming; and
  • Semiconductor processing.
