Full Job Description
Experience writing and developing content for a technical developer audience (must have examples from code, blogs, documentation or other technical materials).
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering discipline or 4+ years’ experience in a technical role (developer, support, advocacy, product management, test engineer, technical writer).
Basic to intermediate proficiency with one or more programming languages. Able to read, write, and test basic code examples.
Basic knowledge of cloud computing.

As a Senior Programmer Writer, you'll be part of a team of programmer writers, working directly with software developers, technical product managers, developer advocates, customer representatives and customers to provide content strategy leadership and produce high-quality technical documentation for our many developer customers who rely on our SDKs. https://aws.amazon.com/tools/.

Create, improve, and test technical documentation and code examples.
Lead customer-focused content strategy development and execution.
Partner with other content teams to deliver connected customer content experiences.
Create documentation and code samples for web services, developer tools, and cloud scenarios.
Participate, plan, and manage customer-focused documentation work in an agile environment.
Track and report on content performance against customer goals using key metrics.
Partner closely with engineering teams and represent our customers in your efforts.
Help improve the products by identifying new features and bugs.
Be the first “customer”– providing technical feedback on new features and experiences!

Intermediate to advanced proficiency one or more programming languages.
Experience designing, planning, and delivering content projects.
Experience working on or closely with software development teams.
Technical experience in a major technology area such as Compute, Storage, Database, Developer Tools, Machine Learning, Security or IoT.
Experience working with agile project management methodologies.
Experience working with XML, re Structured Text, or Markdown-based documentation systems.
Experience working with Git or similar distributed version control system.
Knowledge of common software architectural patterns.
