Full Job Description
Job Summary:
We are a 90-year-old cooperative in the process of a technological transformation. As we explore areas such as agtech, microservices, IoT and edge computing at our various locations, we are looking for you to make lasting, technological contributions to our farmer owned cooperative. There will be opportunities to build new, greenfield services using a cloud-native, API-first approach that takes into consideration scalability and high availability to support the new software platform. We are a small team where you can make a big difference.

Responsibilities
Lead the design and development for all applications owned by your team(s).
Create APIs with JavaScript, Node.js, and Express.js.
Create best practices for robust testing and change management.
Apply modern DevOps and SDLC practices to everything you create.
Partner with product management team to support the business functions.
Create an API-first integration approach to securely expose data and functionalities to external partners.
Partner with platform engineering and architecture team to discuss cloud requirements for applications owned by respective agile team(s).

Qualifications
BA/BS in computer science, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience, with a focus on Software Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of recent software development in JavaScript and Node.js.
Minimum 7 years of cloud platform experience with Azure, AWS or GCP in a Linux environment.
Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
Extensive experience with security frameworks and standards such as OAuth2, OIDC, SAML.
General working experience with the Agile Methodology.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others.
Desired

Experience delivering software to both SaaS and on-prem environments.
Open-source contributions.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
Experience with infrastructure provisioning with ARM, CFT, or Terraform.
Experience developing automation for CI/CD pipelines.
Expertise in Linux packaging and build tools.
