Job Description:
Are you passionate about Data Science, Machine Learning and innovation? You will be responsible for the design and development of scalable Machine Learning solutions for Hach R&D. You will have the opportunity to design, develop and support the deployment and sustainment of scalable Machine Learning Solutions! You will collaborate with our data scientists, engineers, and business groups to make a difference in water quality.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Understand business challenges, propose new modeling and algorithmic solutions that leverage the latest in statistical and machine learning techniques

Apply statistical analysis and modeling techniques on small and large datasets to solve specific business problems in different industrial domains

Create prototypes with data sets and collaborate with other project team members to deploy in current and future products.

Work collaboratively with Product Owners/Product Managers and/or customers to translate business requirements into technical requirements that can be answered with statistical and machine learning techniques

Collaborate with engineers and domain owners to produce or obtain the required data if not available

Develop processes, techniques, and tools to analyze and monitor model performance while ensuring data accuracy

Degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related field

2+ years of knowledge in the latest machine learning tools and methods, including time series analysis, supervised and unsupervised learning, as applied in business contexts

Expert knowledge of statistical programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL

Experience of having taken a machine learning project from development to successful deployment

Experience with hardware and / or software development lifecycle processes

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions

Ability to effectively summarize results from analysis to a diverse set of audiences with varying background and technical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related field

Experience in the fields of IoT, including fault diagnosis and prediction

The salary range for this role is 74K - 115K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
