Job Description Summary:
Principal IT Analyst in SAN JOSE, CA
Job Description:
Lead large cross-functional projects and solution design within various functional areas utilizing broader knowledge of the business to track and manage business requirements and configure functionality in SAP. Lead the process for identifying and gathering appropriate business requirements to create the necessary solution that satisfy the business need including facilitation of requirements gathering within multiple business functional areas to develop a comprehensive business requirements document(s). Serve as an it Business Analyst expert in understanding business requirements, system documentation, and implementation of quality software solutions. Lead the development of functional and technical specifications based on business requirements. Manage the IT project priorities or change requests (cr) across global sites of Maxim Integrated and to manage 24 x 7 support across the globe for external manufacturing applications. Manage a 4-member team responsible for providing production support to resolve any system issues which business users may report. Execute and define test scenarios, plans, strategies, and the creation of test scripts. Supervise the integration of testing for cross-functional projects and provide support for user acceptance testing. Provide production support by supplying artifacts (data model, data maps, knowledge base articles, etc.) And educating the support team when applicable. Lead the cross-functional test plan creation and partner with business unit subject matter experts (SME) to develop test scripts. Define and create project related policies and procedures including review of cross-functional project related policies and procedures, and end user training documentation. Serve as the liaison for the functional areas between the IT application team and the business. Provide ongoing day-to-day support for the applications team in addition to project management responsibilities.

POSITION HAS OVERSIGHT OF 4 SUBORDINATES INCLUDING 2 SENIOR IT ANALYSTS AND 2 IT ANALYSTS- I. POSITION CONTRIBUTES TO PERFORMANCE REVIEWS AND APPROVES SCHEDULE FOR WORK ALLOCATED. POSITION DOES NOT HAVE HIRE/ FIRE AUTHORITY

REQUIREMENTS: BACHELOR OF SCIENCE DEGREE OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTRONICS AND INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEERING, OR CLOSELY RELATED FIELD PLUS 8 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR CLOSELY RELATED OCCUPATION.

Must possess expertise/ knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/ knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/ knowledge cannot be "quantified" by "time."

Required expertise/ knowledge includes:
Specialized in ERP technologies and understanding of technical architecture for designing and developing the business solutions.
Knowledge of:
SAP material management.
SAP warehouse management.
SAP production planning.
SAP product life cycle management.
SAP document management systems.
SAP ABAP.
SAP workflow with business rule framework, SAP process integration, SAP HANA, and SQL.
Integration knowledge of web-based systems with SAP, MAXCIM, COMETS, CAMSTAR, CLOUD SOLUTIONS, AND JDA FOR SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING.
Business knowledge of semiconductor business process for designing the solutions in SAP and migrating the home-grown systems (I.E. MAXCIM, COMETS, AND CAMSTAR) to single execution system (SAP).
