Cox Communications is searching for a Lead Technical Analyst, to join the Engineering Enablement Solutions Team in Engineering Enablement. You will execute the work and serve as SME to leverage new and existing database platforms, tools and data sources to collect, analyze, interpret and in some cases, design Engineering data through tools and applications to end users. You will be responsible for production deployments using the RPR/ECR process and Jenkins. You may also support Tableau visualizations and other tools regarding how data is captured, used and how best to deliver the content to enable leaderships performance management activities, with an understanding of data warehouse concepts, reusable schema and SQL development. You will communicate well with Engineering leadership at all levels. You should have a strong understanding of Engineering processes, programs, and tools. You will need experience working directly with large volumes of data using SQL.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Translate business logic into dashboards, charts, reports and presentations in support of the Engineering department using MS SQL Server and Tableau
Create tools with effective visualization and logical layout to tell data stories aligning to business goals
Maintain and support data architecture and schema metadata for various EES tools/products
Oversee production deployments using RPR/ECR processes and Jenkins
Read and write advanced SQL queries with multiple joins to automate/manipulate data extracts
Perform end to end data validation to maintain accuracy of data
Perform what if scenarios, impact analysis, and risk/benefit analysis on future solutions and integrations to existing systems
Design and build working prototypes including, but not limited to ETL solutions, SQL server, and Tableau
Identify, research, and resolve discrepancies in data
Understand the existing source system data models and be able to consolidate on reports and dashboards
Work in partnership with the other teams and stakeholders concerning the accuracy of data and efficiency of processes
Present Engineering reporting and insights to leadership and other business partners

Qualifications:
Minimum:
8+ years of experience in an analytics role focused on business analytics, predictive analytics or similar area; 5+ years with relevant degree
5 to 7 years of experience in developing, delivering, and maintaining reporting for diverse audiences. Experience should cover requirements gathering from key stakeholders, data mining, scripting/querying, report design and development
Strong programming skills and ability to utilize a variety of data/analytic software/languages/tools; Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Tableau and Excel
Strong communication skills. The ability to comprehend and communicate analytical findings, business insights, and resulting implications to both technical and non-technical business partners.
Deep understanding of data domains, models, and implications for analytics use in at least one industry including telecommunications, cable, finance, media, advertising, or similar.

Preferred:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance or closely related field
5+ years of experience in creating and maintaining ETL solutions, architecture/schema
Experience in Java, Python, HTML, CSS & Javascript etc.
