  • We are looking for dynamic individuals that don’t need any handholding. You will be working on new product development (NPD) for a small company working on the future of Lighting technology. We are interested in your ideas for EGG lighting and will want to see them realised.
  • Embedded firmware engineer” with experience of Nordic Semiconductor chipsets nRF52 required to work with a mixed skill team designing electronics for the future of lighting.
  • Collaborating with the CTO in creating the Company’s technical strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritising development initiatives
  • Collaborating with external contractors when needed to deliver our new technology to businesses
  • Leading a small technical team to ensure various design decisions around firmware, hardware, system architecture, and customer requests are implemented smoothly.
  • Embedded C / C
  • Bluetooth / Bluetooth Mesh concepts
  • ARM Cortex-M Microcontrollers ideally Nordic's nRF52 family
  • Exposure to nRF Connect SDK / nRF SDK for Mesh / nRF SDK
  • Experience working with peripheral/device communication protocols like UART, i2c, SPI
  • Understanding of pcb schematics and layout
  • Understanding of basic electrical wiring/drawings
  • Qualified/confident to work safely directly with hardware (mains operated)
  • Confidence working in a Linux Environment (e.g. Raspberry Pi)
  • Design / understanding of systems end-to-end (device to end user)
Good to have:
  • DevOPS (Git/ Feature Planning)
  •  Full product lifecycle experience, from ideation to production & deployment
  • Altium Schematic / Layout
  • Understanding of PCB Manufacturing processes
  • Some exposure to Scripting languages like Python/Bash
  • Confidence in prototyping or working on PCBs (basic soldering etc)
  • Some knowledge of DALI Lighting Protocol
  • Confidence liaising directly with clients
