  • The Cyted group develops and deploys digital diagnostic services for research and clinical use. Our services are designed to dignify and empower, placing patients at the heart of our services.
  • The Technical Project Manager will organise the planning and delivery of Cyted’s innovative in-house software and machine learning-based medical diagnostic software in our laboratory. This will provide the opportunity to steer the project and product(s) all the way from initial requirements capture and design, through certification to live operation.
  • They will work closely with a dedicated development team consisting of software and machine learning engineers, and will have sufficient technical experience to help them make the prioritisation choices with an unwavering focus on patient safety. They will have experience of managing and mitigating risk in an environment with high regulatory requirements. They will also work with their opposite numbers in partner companies and NHS stakeholders to coordinate the delivery with the support of the technical teams and company leadership. The Technical Project Manager will report to the CEO and CTO.
Responsibilities:
  • Own processes as well as implement strategies and methods for technical projects
  • Mentor, coach and develop talent in the technology department
  • Establish team guidelines and best practices for time management and organisational skills
  • Maintain a strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams
  • Promote a team work mentality in in a high-level collaborative environment
  • Predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
  • Contribute to the culture of our inclusive and enthusiastic team
Working pattern, location and salary:
  • The role is a full-time position with a standard 37.5 hour working week. The role holder may be required to work flexibly.
  • The Technical Project Manager will be based at the Cyted’s Head Office, WeWork, 50-60 Station Road, Cambridge, CB1 2JH and may need to visit other company sites if and when required.

Qualifications and background:
  • Master's degree or equivalent in Project Management or related technical field
  • Professional Project Management Certification (desirable)
Experience:
  • Experience of a similar role, ideally a minimum of 3 years’ experience
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Good negotiation skills developed in a commercial environment
  • The ability to adapt to different working environments
  • Highly driven, self-motivated and outcome focused, used to seeking out opportunities and delivering results
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organized with attention to detail
