Position Summary:
  • The Business Development Representative plays an integral role in qualifying prospective clients to support our New Logo Sales team in achieving monthly sales targets. This role contacts leads through, but is not limited to, outbound cold-calling efforts, email campaigns, inbound leads, and responds to customer inquiries for information about products and services.

Candidate Profile
  • Highly proactive and productive in establishing a new business.
  • Adept at building a pipeline of Qualified Leads
  • Outstanding follow-through, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude.
What You’ll Do
  • Achieve monthly quota of Qualified Leads (demos, appointments) by initiating calls to prospective clients every day.
  • Manage lead, opportunity, and development pipeline in multiple systems.
  • Accurate record sales and summarize interaction with customers.
  • Qualify inbound leads and prospects via phone and email, identifying key decision-makers, business pain points, the size of the opportunity, budget, and purchase timeframes.
  • Process new customer applications and accounts.
  • Prospect new business by establishing rapport with decision-makers, identifying needs, and transferring to Account Executive to Close the sale
  • Become a logistics industry expert, and promote the value of the suite of SaaS solutions.
  • Leverage a range of communication tools, phone, email, internet, and more to engage prospects.
  • Meet and exceed sales revenue goals and maintain a quota.
The Skills And Experience You’ll Need
  • Ideally, 2+ years of success in a directly related role, maintaining a quota in a dynamic, outbound sales organization.
  • SaaS, subscription-based, or related technology sales experience preferred.
  • Logistics industry experience is highly desired.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Direct experience using a CRM (ideally Salesforce) to manage a sales funnel.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, including Mircosoft Teams, Internet, and more.
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
