  • The Software Engineer II will be part of the UniSim Design Development Team, and contribute in the development of Honeywell modeling and simulation technology and its successful growth in new markets including Sustainability, Green Energy and Emissions Control.
  • Mature and extend the simulation platform across multiple areas including steady-state, EO, content generation, and other capabilities.
  • Evolve the simulation platform modeling language for applicability in new domains. This includes high-level domain-specific language constructs and low-level implementation of the underlying simulation engines.
  • Design and implement mathematical models and software infrastructure enabling process simulation, in existing as well as new platform.
  • Understand programming methods and its application to process modeling, optimization and solver systems.
  • Capability to develop thermodynamically accurate, complex process models.
  • Conversant and capable C++ and 4GL coding skillset.
You Must Have:
  • 4+ years’ experience in advanced process simulation, preferably with a focus on software development.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
We Value:
  • Advanced, performance-sensitive C++.
  • Comfortable with large, complex software systems incorporating millions of lines of code.
  • Diagnose and debug software errors and mathematical convergence errors in multiple model forms and solution methodologies: sequential/simultaneous, steady-state/dynamics.
  • Experience with the Equation Oriented formulation and solution methods for steady state and dynamic modeling would be a plus.
  • SCRUM/Agile Software development execution.
  • Previous modeling with tools such as MATLAB, gPROMs, Aspen Custom Modeler or similar.
  • Self-starter.
