Who we’re looking for
  • Toyota’s Plastics Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Plastics Maintenance Engineer.
  • The primary responsibility of this role is to lead equipment capability improvements (Quality and Productivity improvements).
  • Reporting to the Plastics Manager, the person in this role will support the Plastics department's objective to support the overall success of the company.
What you’ll be doing
  • Train maintenance/production on change points (RJ/WIS/PMs)
  • Lead Daily meetings with production and maintenance
  • Manage improvement and refurbishment projects (Internally and with vendors)
  • Lead quality standards development activities as well as problem solving activities
  • Lead equipment refurbishment and control upgrades across Plastics
  • Equipment Improvement/controls upgrades, [Design, schedule, procurement, training, installation, commissioning, and confirmation]
  • Interface across multifunctional teams (Contractors / Skilled trades / PE / Quality)
  • Manage skilled maintenance support for training / Development
  • Assist production/maintenance with major breakdown issues
  • Lead and coordinate problem solving and reoccurrence prevention
  • Support OA Improvement > Processing and equipment refurbishment
  • Lead control refurbishment projects in Plastics
  • Machine connectivity and networking for IoT/Industry 4.0
  • Ringi development, approval, and budget management
  • Shop engineering strategy development based on Hoshin
  • Data Management/Visualization Systems and introduction
What you bring
  • Associate Degree (or higher) in Engineering/Engineering Technology or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or Inventor
  • Experience with Microsoft Office- Word/Excel/Project
  • Experience reading/making electrical and pneumatic prints
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, machine networks, and PLC/HMI programming
  • Project Management experience
Added bonus if you have
  • Associate Degree (or higher) in Mechatronic, Electrical or Industrial field
  • Manufacturing experience
  • PLC/HMI (programmable logic controller/human machine interface) experience
  • Experience with TBP, JKK, RJ, DMM, Catia
  • Toyota procurement process experience
