We are inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager, IoT Engineer
In this role, the ideal candidate will have an excellent balance of people, organizational, and technical skills, The role requires understanding the network of physical objects—“things”—that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies for the purpose of connecting and exchanging data with other devices and systems over the internet
Responsibilities
Networking
o Perform remote site assessment of assets and existing network infrastructure of client to connect assets with IoT cloud
o Designing network solutions and /or improving the efficiency of current networks design to accommodate communication via Edge devise or Virtual Machine from client network to IoT cloud
o Install, configure and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, NTP and DHCP
o Support client IT in configuring firewalls, routing, switching, anti-virus and port enablement to maximize network efficiency and security
o Investigate faults in the network and detect data loss issues and fix connectivity by remote troubleshooting
o Assist on-site Field Service Engineer in configuring the asset for remote connectivity and data flow to IoT cloud
Amazon Web Services
o Understanding of docker, containers and executable package of software that includes everything needed to run an application
o Knowledge of OPC Unified Architecture for machine to machine communication protocol for industrial automation developed
o Configure AWS Greengrass and SiteWise agents on the hardware based EDGE device
o Good knowledge in content delivery network concepts specifically configure and activate AWS cloud front service for IoT apps
o Deployment of IoT core and configure to connect with AWS services such as LAMBDA, Kinesis, S3 and Quick Sight
Application & OS Support
o Good understanding of Linux services & administration
o Good understanding of device management and system service logs
o Perform user management for IoT application to enable access for end user
o Provide IoT application user interface training to end user
Virtual machine
o Thorough knowledge of VMware ESXi and related technologies
o To install and administer virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V and other) products across multiple data centers and connect them to network and cloud
o Regular support of VMware and other virtual environment by resolving the escalated tickets for internal and external customers
o Identify and implement the rectified operational issues
Minimum qualifications
• B.E / B.Tech – Computer Science & Information Technology
• B.E / B.Tech - Electronic and communications engineering
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Engineer) – Mandatory
Preferred qualifications
• Strong communication skills; skilled at cross-functional and cross-organizational communication
• Attention to detail and good articulation skills.
• Ability to traverse both vertically and horizontally in a large organization
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
